I’m Piper Barney, a visual storyteller with a vision board full of wild ideas and a lens that never stops seeking magic. They called me crazy when I sold everything—my clothes, my furniture—and left Mississippi for the mountains. But I knew I was chasing something bigger than comfort. Born and raised in the deep South, I longed to explore beyond the family farm, so I made it my mission.

For four years, I lived beneath an endless canopy of stars, waking up to glacier-fed rivers and chasing the fleeting colors of autumn before they disappeared into winter’s snow. I fell deeply in love—with the earth, with its people, and with the art of capturing life in all its raw, vibrant beauty.

Now, with over 13 years of experience as a Mississippi wedding and family photographer, I’ve learned to embrace the unknown, always trusting my creative instincts. My work isn’t just about snapping photos—it’s about feeling, experiencing, and telling stories through color, movement, and emotion. Because for me, photography isn’t just a job. It’s a way of seeing the world.

I could no longer fight being a full time photographer or the creative energy to DO ANYTHING FOR THE SHOT... so here I am, running my own photography business and not always know the how, but knowing with certainty my why- because all I see is ART!
